Next one should be the 100 year's war, due in the autumn. This is being written by an external author, so I can't be more specific. After that will hopefully be Macedon and the Successor Wars, which I am doing myself. Currently up to Gaugamela.....

The triarii are wider than the elephant which is why Wayne refers to them charging both units.

Well of course as tournament organisers you are entitled to use any special rules you wish. However the intention of the rules is very much that skirmishers DO slow down close order troops, since them represent a threat.

Hi Guys,

The rule is not meant to apply to the Extraordinarii or Italian Spearmen, because as mentioned above they did not fight in the Triplex Acies. Sorry if the wording is unclear, it does refer to needing 5 hits instead of 4 to remove a base, so doesn't apply to a strength 3 base.
