Re: Pompey Pillage. 11th - 12thAugust 2018

I have to confess to making a mistake in my list....well it did involve allies from a complicated source..anyway it has resulted in the removal of the only "good" unit in my 1500 point army. So I have no superior troops of any sort and nothing in close order. At least I will be able to cover a lot o...

Re: Mixed order

Two rows of archers at the front would get the bonus dice as they are using both direct and plunging fire. If the archers are at the rear they would not get the bonus dice.

Re: Rule queries and General observations

Change formation takes place before movement for drilled troops, turning to flank is part of movement.

Re: Rule queries and General observations

Hi Hon, Ok I understand what you are saying about the skirmishers. Remember close fighting infantry are not the best choice to drive off skirmishers, cavalry or your own skirmishers should perform this task for you. There is a difference between turning to flank (change face) and turning to rear (ab...

New Amendments to Lists

The following has just been added to the errata:
Christian Crusaders and Crusading Military Orders:
No more than two units of Archers may be fielded, other Archers must be in formation with Spearmen.
Medieval English:
There must be at least one base of Men-at Arms for every three bases of Archers.

Amemdments to lists

New amendments just added to the errata: Late Republican and Early Imperial Rome: Due to their superior training and self-confidence, Drilled legionaries may elect not to close up when within 8" of enemy, and may continue at their full movement rate. If they charge more than 4" into combat, they wil...

Re: Rule Changes

The rule is as written. Others are inferior fighters if specified so by their army list.
