Re: how does a elephant stamped ?

Don't know how Martin would play it but if my regular opponent charges an elephant in the flank and forces it to stampede, it does so away from the unit as if it had been facing it, like wise if charged in the rear it does not stampede into the unit that has caused it to run but away from it. It run...

Re: skirmisher and momentum token

1. winning but not breaking opponent.....1 token

2. reducing enemy to half strength........2 tokens

3. running down fleeing enemy .....3 tokens.

Two handed axe and shield

Its been a while since I used my Vikings and I can not remember the rule for a unit with two handed axes in shield wall. 1. in melee the unit still counts shield wall even when using the axe? 2. Does the opponent however count the axe men as shield less for armour saves? Think this is correct but yo...

Re: Generals may ride chariot?

Thanks Martin and Scott, we did play it that way but were unsure if we were right.

Do like the period rules in the front of the army list, nice touch indeed. But found it quite hard to do enough hits on the infantry so the chariots could charge.

Thanks again

Re: Generals may ride chariot?

Hi Scott
I see your point but with a chariot does it get to shoot and fight or is it just a free ride? The more I think about this it should be a free ride with no extra attacks unless you pay for the chariot.

cheers

Generals may ride chariot?

Ok in most of the armies your general "may ride in a chariot" is it free or do you pay for it? If its free does it count as a normal chariot + general or just the +2/+3 for the generals attacks? In other lists general "may ride a horse" which I am sure was free, but a chariot is a wee bit different....
