Re: Disengage

Yes if a unit successfuly disengages they move back a full turn (and then turn around to face the people they were fighting). It can be quite frustrating.

The cavalry can move forward, as long as they can negotiate the obstacle and charge them the turn after.

Do anything else and you take 25% off your movement allowance - simples

Re: Stamlna rules

Don't have the book with me, but Martin made comment about Roarii in an earlier post (use the search for context) which may (or may not) help you decide on your situation "Yes the Rorarii do gain the benefit of the rule. Our knowledge of the changes to Roman armament is sketchy and the vague comment...

Re: Pompey Pillage. 11th - 12thAugust 2018

Well there are five units of Citizens, but Carthaginian's have to have a lot of mercenaries, some of which might be Greek and others Celtis, and then it would be rude not to ask the neighbours to borrow some elephants, they even come with some cavalry. No Cretans, and only two bow armed skirmishers....

Re: Pompey Pillage. 11th - 12thAugust 2018

Just finished painting a unit of Carthaginian Spearmen, but have still to base them. That is five I have done. Better check my list and see what else I might need to do.

Re: flanck charge and edge of the table

If any part of the unit goes off table then it is an illegal move and so cannot be done. You have to be able to anchor your flank somehow. If the cavalry was drilled it could drop a rank for free after the charge has been declared and before it moves and that would most probably allow a legal charge...
