Unformed troops - observations on the rule change

'Formed Troops: Change third and fourth sentence to read: A formed unit is one that is at least as wide as the minimum number of bases for its type (see table on page 8). When a formed unit falls below this width or the minimum number of bases for its type, it becomes unformed.' This is the errata t...

Re: Pompey Pillage. 11th - 12thAugust 2018

I have finally made up my mind and chosen an army from Syracuse. No superior fighters or shooters anywhere to be seen in the list!

Early and Later Hoplite Armies - tips and hints

Having played with a few Greek armies in Swordpoint I thought I would share some observations. The first one is don't you use this list if you like lots of cavalry. The Greek cavalry is pretty pants, even when you can get the opportunity to upgrade as you can in some of the lists. The real star of t...

Re: Pompey Pillage. 11th - 12thAugust 2018

I know how you feel Wayne, Teagea, Sparta Early or Late, Early Carthaginian or Syracuse.

Not enough time to paint 120 phalangites I have sitting in the box. Not enough EIR for 1500 points, there would have to be a lot of Numeri to make up the numbers!

Re: Warfare 2018

Already done.

It looks like the Worlds are not taking place, their website only has 2017 information so this will be my Autumn fix.

I am trying to get Malcolm interested and apply in good time, but he can be mr slow.

Re: Six Bells Invitational 8-10 June

Six Bells Invitational Thanks to everyone that came and played in a good spirit. Very few queries and we were able to try out some minor tweaks to see how they impacted on the play. I think most people got a hang of the scoring system that rewarded those who did not lose too many units whilst achiev...

Not currently, but as you can about face for free as many times as you want in a turn it makes them more flexible.

Re: momentum token

In your first example it is one per unit - so 3 if A, B and C chagrge and 4 if 1,2,3, and 4 charge. Although in this case only the max 3 could be used in thr combat and one would have to be retained for later use. You gain one for causing the enemey to take a break test, and not three! It is an extr...
