Re: Base widths

Bear in mind that several key elements of the rules, including shooting and HtH combat, are determined by base, or by the number of bases per unit. So if you decide to use large 'diorama' style multi-bases with fewer bases per unit, you would need to make a fair number of modifications to the rules.

Re: Kublacon Invitational

Hi Jim,

My apologies for the thread necromancy, but I was curious to know how many players participated in the 2017 Kublacon event.

Cheers,
Scott

Re: Sarmatian barding option

Thanks for the clarification, Martin! :)

BTW, since the Sarmatian list is found in the Classical Armies book, should this thread be moved to the appropriate forum?

Re: Sarmatian barding option

Dave is correct in that the Greek and Latin sources do not mention horse barding for Sarmatian horsemen. Also, the Sarmatian heavy cavalryman depicted on this relief from Tanais does not have any horse barding: http://www.encyclopediaofukraine.com/pic%5CS%5CA%5CSarmatian_Cataphract%20(marble%20block...
