Re: Falling back on enemy skirmishers question

Yes, they flee. However, if their retreat is completely blocked by enemy they are destroyed instead. See page 30, last paragraph of section 4.

Following up

I just wanted to check that I've not missed something......

When an enemy unit falls back can its opponent decline to follow up in a simple "one on one" example? I know that it cannot follow up if flanked or is overlapped to its front by other enemy.

Re: Update to Movement Rules

I like the change to skirmish movement. ...it was always awkward having to do 3 point turns to get away from board edges. I'll give it a go with the formed troop maneuvers to find the nuances

Skirmish cavalry, shooting

Just a quick question.

Can a column of skirmish cavalry in one base frontage shoot with all its bases?

Thanks

Re: Combined formation containing both Open and Close order foot

It's 40, add up the strength for each base. In some lists the archers in these types of units upgrade from open to close order.

Note that in wotr these units fight in mixed formation and not combined. It's in the medieval section of this forum

Re: Rule Changes

Similar question regarding the Seleucid Levy Archers. They have hand weapon so do they hit on a 4 as normal?

Re: Fall back question

Thanks Martin, we played the worst case...the flanked unit was toast, as expected.
