Skirmish movement

I'm just re- reading page 37 and they only ignore movement penalties that reduce speed. Is the 45 degree arc of vision restriction on page 20 also ignored by skirmishers?

Retreat completely blocked when fleeing

I'm looking at the final paragraph in 4.flee on page 30. What constitutes completely blocked? Does there have to be a frontage wide gap, a base frontage gap, or another way of judging this? How do you play it?

Re: Disengage

Bob, it happened last night. The cavalry just got stuck within a hedged field, just about to be shot again by the skirmishers. We played the hedge as difficult going, not strictly as described in the rules. How do you folks play hedges?

Reform after disorganized

A knight fight results in a unit fleeing whilst the winners reform after avoiding pursuit
The question for the reforming fleers is whether they can change face whilst reforming, or reform with enemy knights to their rear.... and get charged.

Disengage

My skirmish infantry defend a hedged field but are pushed back by cavalry. Next turn they pass cohesion and disengage to defend the rear hedge. What do the cavalry do. They cannot charge since this opportunity passed. Do they just watch the skirmishers take up a new position?

Re: Returning unit

One quick question. Can the general use his command to rally off board pursuers if he is within 12inches of the exit point?

Re: Cheshire gamers??

Hi, there is a thriving club at Airbus broughton who meet every Thursday at the Wings social club from 6pm. Worth going along for a look. They are called Deeside Defenders.

Re: Mid Roman Auxiliar infantry ( Classical Page 49)

It reads as though auxiliary infantry can only be close order, not open order. If there is an open order option and what would the points be?

thanks
