Re: Burgundian Ordnance questions

I didn't see that either, but you seem to be right. IMHO it should be D4 (Partial Plate 5 + Mounted -1 =4). @MartinG I agree with your point to differentiate the Burgundian Feudal Knights from the Imperials. With your suggestions there are also more ways of customizing these to your own intention. I...

Re: Burgundian Ordnance questions

Thanks for the suggestions. I think they are al very viable. But I think my original option would be best in spirit with the other lists. I was looking at the Late HRE and Imperial lists, where it states: "Knights can have Spear (+1) or Lances (+5) or nothing. Knights with Lances are Shock Cavalry, ...

Re: Burgundian Ordnance questions

Another suggestion: In his chronicle Phillip de Comines comments on the Burgundian Feudal Knights not being proficient in the proper usage of Lances, due to the long period of peace. Therefore I propose the following addition, waiting for (official) approval: Feudal Knights may be fielded without La...

Calcutating Skirmisher points reduction

When calcutating the points reduction for some skirmishers (without other clarification), is the result rounded up or down?

Example: Later HRE Landsknecht Crossbowmen in Open Order cost 14 points, but can be fielded as skirmishers at 33% points reduction. Would that be 9 or 10 points per base then?

Barding

There seems to be some ambiguous wording concerning barding and clarification would be nice. The general distinction between cloth-, half- and full-barding is clear. But in some Medieval lists (Swiss, Italians, Late HRE, Late French, Burgundy,...) it only says that knights have "barding", sometimes ...

Re: Ratio

Nice to hear, that Swordpoint is planning forward to be around and supported for such a long time. I know that Ancients will receive attention first, because there is a huge community, and Dark Ages are trending, due to SAGA, but please do not forget about those crusaders and Landsknechts out there....

Re: Ratio

That is very good news, indeed!
I am hoping for a Charles the Bold supplement with Burgundians and Swiss including Hericourt, Grandson and Nancy as well as the siege of Neuss.
The Italian Wars and lists for the German Peseant's Revolt of 1525 would be nice, too. I could offer some help in development.

Re: Ratio

Thanks, this will certainly help drawing up historical scenarios like Grandson or Morat.

Btw, are there any plans of releasing specific scenario books for Swordpoint in the future or is this just too big a prospect, considering how many centuries the ruleset covers?

Ratio

Just a general question:

What is the supposed figure/base to men ratio in Swordpoint?

E.g. I have a unit of 9 bases of close order infantry (Swiss Pikes), how many men do they represent?
