Army List Restriction

Hi all, I have a question regarding the army list restrictions: The list states the fact that I need to field at least 25% of my army as cavalry and up to 25% as special units. But the Special units are cavalry also, if I field 25% of mounted special units, will they count cavalry limit also? Thanks...

Thematic Byzantines

Hi,

JUst to be sure, regarding the Thematic Byzantines. Can a Tagmatic sub-commander be chosen to lead thematic troops and vice versa, even if no tagmatic troop was selected?

Thank You,
Vlad

Re: Seleucid Army List

Hi Martin,

I don't see anything regarding the xyston, will it be a kontos? And also can you please tell us what the Macedonian Phalanx rule mean.
This list caused quite a fuss here in Romania.

Thank You,
Vlad

Re: Phalanx and shieldwall

I agree to this. The phalanx special rule automatically gives the the unit the shieldwall rule, bit no exceptions regarding the movement are made in the rule description.

Re: Elephant stampede movement

I totally understand what you are saying David, but it's only normal for the elephant to run away from the "thing that harmed it" if it gets crazed by pain not towards it. Not all of them are Kandula or Surus :)

Re: Early Imperial Roman Army

Well, I would really try to use archers, they are really good against cavalry.

Re: Shieldwall and movement

Hi, Well actually think that you can move more than 4" but if you choose to do so you automatically lose it. Therefore due to the fact that the shieldwall movement reduction is more a condition to keep it rather than a restriction to move, you don't get march blocked at a speed of 4" but a...
