Only elephants "collect" unsaved hits, chariots are treated just like infantry or cavalry.

Re: Later Carthaginian

The formation for the Gauls reflects their battlefield performance for Hannibal. The Carthaginian army is a good bet as an ancient starter army, as it contains lots of elements that can later be expanded into other armies....you know you want to......

Re: Norman bretons in Sicily

Re: Norman bretons in Sicily

Looks a nice balanced army and should be fun. I might suggest you drop the Norman knights to 5 bases and increase the Bretons to 5, that way the Bretons won't take a test when they lose a base. You want to charge the Normans in one rank anyway if you can, so 5 bases is easier to fit in. There is onl...

Re: Celrtic army

The intention of the Gallic list is that all the troops are formed in one way or the other, not a mix of open and close order. I would suggest taking the open order option, it makes you more flexible and you paint less figures. The units are more brittle so you absolutely must maintain line of battl...

We do have a cunning plan and there will definitely be a 100 YW supplement at some point, can't give dates as yet.

Re: close order in case charge 8"

You cannot charge if the centre of your unit cannot reach the enemy. Close order can only exceed 4"charge in the circumstances outlined in your other strand.
