Re: Halberd on Chariot

All the chariot attacks are delivered with the names combat weapon, the halberd (just as all the shooting attacks are delivered by the bow)

Re: Hundred Years War Battle Report

That will give a better game I think. Still very hard if the quality French troops line the bank.

Re: Armoured Illyrians

Best source I know are the Greek light cavalry and Macedonian/Successor heavy cavalry boxes. I have made lots of Thureophoroi and Thorakitai from these and the bodies in the republican roman legion boxes!

Re: Armoured Illyrians

If you removed the feathers yes, though you should avoid the triple disc cuirass and get plenty of alternative heads-some good ones in the Greek boxes.

Re: Late Repiblican list

Commanders other than the army general are limited to affecting their own contingents, apart from a few exceptional cases noted in the army lists.

Re: Fleeing Blocked Path

I assumed the example was for illustration only rather than including precisely measured frontages, yes it is the base frontage plus that counts as per what you have read. Skirmishers do block the way, troops fleeing in panic don't notice the exact nature of people who are trying to kill them!

Re: I dont; understand multi-unit combat resolution

Remember combats are between individual units unless one or more units "bridge" between two opponents. In the latter case one larger melee results. While casualties are caused to the individual units by the bases opposing them, the overall total casualties count for combat resolution , each individu...
