It was the Blue dice of doom that paid for the Ligurians. Hopefully the Red dice of retribution will have surfaced in time for the weekend.

For you planners with too much time on your hands - here is game 1.
Bob S v Dave P
Martin G v Dave J
Malcolm B v Andy K
Wayne R v Dave M
Andy C v Lee F
Paul L v Tony S
Mike H v Andy S
If you expect to arrive late please phone Dave.J on the number on the rule-pack. Don't use my number because the phone has died.
Remember that the house-rule in the rule-pack concerning victory points for surplus tokens has been superceded in a recent errata.
Treat any group of buildings on a table as a wooded area delineated by the base that the buildings are mounted upon.

Good luck everybody.

Thanks to Dave for organising and the Pompey lads for hosting.

It was good to play Dave, Lee, Tony, Paul and Wayne as the games were competitive but played in good spirits. Mid table mediocrity was to be my fate after me army imploded in the last game between various elephants.

Good luck to Mike as he organises next year ;-)

Second Bob. 5 great games even got to win a couple. The game against Bob was 3 1/2 hours of manouvering for only 16 points, still Bob only got 150. Hope to be there next year.

It was a great weekend and so nice to play against different armies and as always a great group of players. Thank you to all those I played against.

As for next year, it will be Medieval and the points will be 50% greater than normal, which for Medieval is 1250 so Pillage will be 1875. I found that with 1875 points I can include 2 cannons in my Medieval English Army, but at 1250 the army has less options. Being the judge and spare player the army might just sit in the box.

Hurrah! Thanks to Dave and the rest of the organisers.
Incredibly pleased and proud of my prize. It's on top of my PC and he has already attracted a lot of attention. I am jealous.

Wasn't worth fighting for I'm afraid Andy.
Bring back the donkey is what I say.
I'm coming back fighting next year with my crusading peasents, only 20 * 12 base pilgrams. Only one small problem is I might need a 13 foot table to put them on.

Ok there is one other problem. It seems I will need 656 figures.
