Hi All,

This is to give you advance information on Pompey Pillage 2019. SAVE THE DATE!!!

It will be held at the same venue, Horndean Technology College, Barton Cross, Horndean, Hampshire, PO8 9PQ on the 10th and 11th August 2019.

The armies will cover the Medieval Army book and the army size is up to 1,875 points (50% more than the normal army size of 1,250 per the army book). You have loads of time to paint any additional figures.

I am considering the possibility of allowing armies from the new 100 Year War Supplement , but a decision will only be made once I have seen the Supplement.

More information will follow.

Mike.

Will you allow some of the later lists from the Dark-age book? What about the downloadable lists from the Gripping Beast Swordpoint pages?

Pillage 2019 Medieval Tournament:

In addition to the Medieval Armies book, I have reviewed the Dark Age Armies book and I will allow the following armies to be used, but you can not use any options that are specific to pre 1066, as noted in the army lists.

The Dark Age armies are: Mayan, Korean, Hindu Indian, Champa, Eithiopian, Christian Spanish, Al-Andalus & Granada, Japanese, Khmer Empire, Later Irish, Pecheneg, Khitan Empire, Norman & Breton, Seljuk Turks, Song Ghina, Ghaznavid, Early Polish, Georgian, Turcoman, Capetian France, Early Medieval Hungarian, North African Berbers, Later Byzantine, Early Italian States and Cuman /Kipchak.

As previously stated, the only other armies that I will consider is the HYW supplement once it is released to decide if armies listed in it will be allowed.

I think this gives people more than enough armies to select one from and remember the points are up to 1,875.

Mamluks for me, I think I can create a list without having to paint too much extra, if anything!

As the spare player this year, I may or may not get to use my Medieval English, with loads on long bows, foot knights and at least 1 cannon to add some random impact on a pike block or nice shiny cavalry. Play testing a scenario for the small game on Saturday and once I am happy with it I will put the pack up here and on the Gripping Beast web site. Don't forget, if you pay early, before we have the final venue price, the price is the same as last year £33. Details are on the Gripping Beast web site.
