Retreat completely blocked when fleeing

Postby DennisW » Thu May 24, 2018 12:23 pm

I'm looking at the final paragraph in 4.flee on page 30. What constitutes completely blocked? Does there have to be a frontage wide gap, a base frontage gap, or another way of judging this? How do you play it?

A base frontage plus 2" would be the minimum for a unit to try to escape through.

Just to be clear.. Do you mean base front plus 2inches EACH side?

Dennis, I think Martin means 1" either side as you can not pass within 1" of another enemy unit unless charging. Hence why Martin put the base plus 2", referring to the total space that must be available to get the unit through, a base at a time.
