Good stuff James - there will be other folk there who haven't played or only played a game or two. Also, plenty of people there to answer questions or sit in on games. Cheers W.

Folks - looks like we could have a really good turn out for the event. I will set up several tables and lay out terrain. Feel free to either play on the tables as they are or start from scratch if you'd like to explore the terrain rules. The club has plenty of terrain available so no need to bring your own.

The format for the day is very informal, the objective is for you to have some games and get a better understanding on the rules. There will be players there who haven't played Swordpoint before and some more experienced so an ideal opportunity to have a walkthrough.

If folk are interested then we might run a short Q&A session at lunch.

Cheers W.

Wayne, is there somewhere we can get lunch from - or should we come prepared?

Catering: Tea & Coffee are free and we have a small supply of choccies and crisps for cash.
Depending on the numbers we usually cook up a chilli and a curry but I will confirm this later this week.
There is a Sainsbury's a 5 min walk or 2 min drive away.
There is also a subway near by.

If you've any special dietary requirements then definitely bring your own.
Cheers W.

Yep pitch up anytime from 9:45 onwards. Format is turn up, pick a table and invite an opponent.
A few of us will float around and sit in where required.

Wayne, I think John W. Is going to come along with me tomorrow. I hope that's ok! I now have two armies rebased, my Carthaginians, as well as my Normans, and I'll bring them both. Cheers, Ed

Wayne - many thanks for hosting this swordpoint get together it was very timely and served well to refresh my ailing memory of the rules.

Thanks to both my opponents Dave and Ed for two really good games - I no longer fear Norman Knights, thought I still have an healthy respect for them - also throughout the day I forgot to adjust the Combat Result Differential one line lower due to warband charging - would have made my life a little easier!

Looking forward to seeing everyione again at the Dark Age event in Siwndon.

regards
andy

Yes indeed, well hosted. Enjoyed both my games, using my Vikings.
Lots of learning from the games.

I might pop along to the Pompey event later in the year, sadly cannot make the Swindon tourney.
