Quick clarification.

All distances measured from the front centre of the unit - does this mean that all figures fire on that measurement ?

So a second rank fires at the measurement in front of them or do figures potentially fall at short, long and perhaps out of range?

Also, is fire always directed at the closest unit from forementioned unit?

Hi Roy, yep measure from the centre of the shooting unit to the nearest point on the target.

Target priorities apply to shooting. You must target the nearest unit that is capable of charging you.
If no unit meets this criteria then you must shoot he nearest enemy you can see.

You only measure from the centre of the second rank if the first rank is not shooting.
