Small scale rules

Postby Eviljim » Sat Jan 14, 2017 10:12 pm

On the Meeples and Miniatures podcast the possibility of a future release of smaller scale Swordpoint rules was discussed. Is there any news on this? I only own Ancients figures in 6mm and 10mm scale and I'm very interested in the smaller scale rules.

Not at the moment I'm afraid, we will be concentrating on the army list supplements for a while.

Hopefully, it will coincide with Gripping Beast releasing a whole new line of 10mm miniatures to go with the rules. :D

IMHO, the 40mm square bases in Swordpoint are ideal for smaller figures. Just use the same basing system and base strengths as given in the rulebook, and field as many of the smaller figures per base as you like. You could halve all distances for shooting and movement, or simply substitute cm for inches. At least, that is what I am doing for my own 18mm Swordpoint armies. :)

If you're using the same base sizing, there would be no issue of changing the measurements either. I plan on building a 15mm using the same basing format and see how that looks.
