In search of Persians

Having now played 3 games of Swordpoint at the club I'm revisiting some of my older armies to align them to the game mechanisms and army structures.

I've started reorganising my older armies to be able to play and am now regretting my decisions over the last 15 years or so to go for 10 figure heavy cavalry units. In the main this is not likely to prove a issue as most of the original vendors are still going in some form or other. My main problem is with my Achaemenid Persians where I have a lovely unit of 10 Vendel armoured Persian cavalry. Does anyone know where I can source a couple of these figures to bring the unit to a respectable 12?

Cheers

Warren

Warren the Vendel figures were taken over by an American firm I believe. I can't remember exactly who but a search on TMP will probably reveal them straight away. That said, 10 is a perfectly good number for a cavalry unit in Swordpoint.

It was Sgt Major miniatures but they are now closed and selling their ranges.
If the Vendel ranges have been acquired nobody is admitting it yet.
If you only want a few figures have a look at the Foundry/Casting-room miniatures. They are large and might suit style-wise. They might send you a sample?

Thanks guys. I did try Sgt Major Miniatures, but as you mentioned they are selling up the business.

I have looked at Casting Room miniatures, as is always the case a dangerous exercise as I'm now working out how to justify two more units of Persian cavalry having seen their heavy cavalry figures.

Again, thanks

Just as a heads up, Casting Room Miniatures have a sale on at the moment. Discount code is "20%CRM" for a 20% discount, offer open until the end of March.
