A couple of questions on units fighting to the front and flank.
If a unit loses a combat by 2 or 3, (or by a 4 and pass their break test) after modification, they fall back discouraged.
- which direction do they fall back - straight back or at 45 degrees from both attacking units as if they were fleeing?
- do both attacking units follow up and remain in the same place relative to the retreating unit?
Then, if the correct answer is that they fall back at 45 degrees from the attacking units.
- Does the retreating unit still face in the same direction for instance if its sides are parallel to the baseboard edge, do they remain so or does the unit pivot 45 degrees during the retreat?
- If the retreating unit forms the end of a battle line, and the 45 degree retreat is blocked by their friends in the battle line (who are also in combat) either remaining in place, or falling straight back four inches, what happens to it?
