Wagon Tabors

Postby Wayne Richards » Thu Jan 11, 2018 4:21 pm

Wagon Tabors: A few questions arose from a game at the club last night involving wagon tabors.

In this case the Russians had 4 Wagons deployed in a formation (a curved line) with the distance between each wagon being between 0.5"-3".
Qns:

1.When it comes to shooting does each wagon shoot individually (applying the normal shooting rules etc) or does the formation fire. We assumed that each Wagon fires independently of the others.

2.In combat do the Wagons counts as being in a battle line if they are within 1" of each other

3.As Wagon Tabor defenders do not have flanks or rear, do they ever suffer the -1 penalty for being nervous/flanked

4. What is the base strength of each Wagon

5. When testing for Fleeing friends or for friends breaking, does each Wagon test individually or do they test as one formation.

Cheers W.

The Tabor counts as a single unit. SO:
1) All wagons will shoot at the same target if they can. Wagons which cannot hit the unit target are allowed to shoot individually in accordance with the usual rules.
2) No
3) No
4) One base of the relevant infantry, so if open order, three unsaved hits will remove the crew of a wagon
5) One unit.

Thanks Martin I’ll pass that on. Should help make his games go a little smoother come February. Cheers W.
