Six Bells Invitational

Postby Bob Stradling » Mon Jan 21, 2019 6:44 pm

Hi everyone,

I am running the Six Bells Invitational again this year 14-16 June 2019.

Based out of the Six Bells in Bishops Castle, Shropshire, where they normally have 6 real ales on tap.

There is a warm up game on the Friday evening, but this will not count towards the overall scores for the weekend as I know some people can't get there in time on the Friday.

Saturday three games, Sunday two games.

All the armies are provided! You will fight over a range of periods, with a range of armies many of them will contain any old troops I can lay my hands on to fill the ranks! We will use a range of scenarios from Gripping Beast and other sources. So this is not a standard tournament. If you are any good or your name begins with 'A' your opponent will get to chose which of the two armies to use each time you fight. Forces may not be balanced!

The cost is £65, but that includes your meals (but not the beer) at the Six Bells over the weekend, Friday evening, Saturday lunch and evening and Sunday lunch.

There may even be a prize.

Places are limited and I already have a number of people who have signed up. So let me know if you are interested and I will see what I can do!

Bob

Looking forward to it. Best of all I can get to play with armies I have never used and no time to practice. Mike

I have booked the three rooms at the Old Time B&B. We only need two so a twin room is available at £50 per night, contact me if you want this for one or for two. I think the Poppy House and the Boars Head both have vacancies at the moment.

Bob - thaks for organising a great weeekend of gaming, it was very enjoyable to use 6 different armies over the weekend and see how they played.
As always thanks to all my opponents - all fantastic games.

Also please pass on my thanks to your brother John for hosting us at the six bells once again.

Andy
