Well I will be trialling a Ghaznavid army over the next few weeks ready for this event. I think I have everything but some Hindu warriors so it may be a case of taking advantage of the Newline Christmas sale ;-)

Sorry chaps..... I failed to put "receive notification of a reply" on my post....... :|

The event in Birmingham might be good but I have to say, I don't like the idea of my armies being handled by anyone else. They just have had too much TLC.

Let me know the details later on. Birmingham is easier for me to reach then Swindon so it may be a "yes"!

The Birmingham event has sadly been cancelled as the venue is now for sale. However we have made enquiries and should shortly be able to confirm an event on the same dates in........NOTTINGHAM! This will be an normal format rather than the one Bob was planning though.

Now that would be perfect! 8-)

Easy to get to as well. Do you think having a venue more central in the the country might make a difference to the attendance?

EDIT: Nearly forgot to ask, what time period are you looking to concentrate on Martin?

Well as the last two events have been sell-outs I'm not sure the venue can make much difference, but we will see. It is most likely to be a Dark Age event though we haven't decided yet.

Sounds good,

Are the basing guidelines strictly adhered to Martin? Most of my armies are based on 50mm x 50mm for close order and the same but with less mini's for open order.

If that's OK, I would be kind to any opponents if I gained any unforeseen advantages, which I don't think I would(?), but I have only read the rules and not played a game as of yet.

You can get by if your unit frontage has been adjusted to the correct width and no one will mind too much.

That's good enough for me. If I have large flanks on my units I can live with that :)

When you say Dark Ages, are we talking general or something in particular?

Britian X AD for example?
