Just want to check understanding of the resitrictions on the movement of troops with the 'Levies rule'
Rule 1 - when attempting to move other than straight ahead, the movement of formed levy infantry is reduced by half.
So if a unit of open order levy wants to go backwards do they:
1 About face, and stand there looking backward as the first about face takes half of the units movement, and then in a subsequent turn continue to move backwards.
or
2 As they are not moving straight ahead, is there movement now 4", the first about face takes half of this. so 2" left to move straight back and then as they are open order a second about face for free. This is how we played it.
