Pyrrhus unmentioned

Postby Otto von Kruger » Sat Sep 07, 2019 7:10 am

Will Agema and Thessalians in the Pyrrhus army be FAQ'd to have wedge in line with the other macedonian armies from To the Ends of the Earth?

Additionally, Eumenes' army on page 29 under cavalry just has the word '-wedge.' as a bullet point.

Pyrrhos will appear in "The Rise of Rome" and his cavalry will indeed get the Wedge rule. The rule itself is about to be amended for simplicity.

Eumenes' army has an errata https://www.grippingbeast.co.uk/SWORDPO ... --513.html

Hi, Martin,
In very general terms, where does Rise of Rome lie in the queue? For those of us trying to simulate the quincunx battle line, do you think there might be a withdrawl back through other manipular units so that Prinicipes or Triarii can then make a charge?

Rise of Rome is finished in manuscript and so may appear in late 2020, this is earlier than scheduled however and so it may fall back if the expected work materialises.
No one knows quite how the formation operated in reality so if you want to try to replicate it, use appropriate house rules-but drop the Stamina benefit!
